New Canaan Mounted Troopencourages all members to help us extend our services to the surrounding community. We strive to create community awareness and responsibility among our young people, as well as to share the knowledge and pleasure of horses with those who may not otherwise have the opportunity. New Canaan Food Bank Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Horizons Student Enrichment Program Fairfield University Equestrian Team ABC House: NCMT supports ABC House of Darien, CT by donating time and contributing funds raised by the Captain's Council. Sarah Lawrence College Equestrian Team Girl Scouts of America: NCMT supports local Girl Scouts Troops by providing the opportunity to earn horsemanship badges. For more information about the Girl Scounts, click here. Scholarship Riding: Some scholarships are available to enable children to participate in the Cadet program. This program allows children the opportunity to participate in a sport that would otherwise be cost prohibitive. El Dustberry: NCMT supports El Dustberry, an Equine Assisted Therapeutic Activity Center & Outdoor Classroom, by hosting workshops at our facilities.
